This is a man who loves the Lord and so desires to do his will. He has been such a great example to me to persevere and be diligent not only in prayer but also in studying the Word. The Lord is blessing him with this opportunity to go to Indonesia and experience the beauty of Gods creation while ministering to an unique Island, and heavily Muslim culture. It would mean a lot to me and I know a whole lot to him, if you would pray for him while he is gone. He leaves on Monday (the 19th). Eric's desire, like our own, is to see Christ exalted in all peoples and in all circumstances. As we pray for our church and our city, lets remember our brothers and sisters who are doing the Lords work in all sorts of places around the world. (London, Bulgaria, Germany, etc etc)
Eric is going on a missions trip to Indonesia with his Christian boss, Warren.
They leave on Monday July 19th and return on July 31st.
Warren's church takes an annual trip to serve the people there, and pray for them. Last minute a spot opened up and they asked Eric if he would go with them. So of course Eric said yes:)
Indonesia, in general, has a dark spiritual history, rooted in black magic and voodoo. Today it represents the largest population of Muslims in the world.
Pray for safety for the team, wisdom in interacting with the locals, and for a greater intimacy with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
